All Time Low
October 11, 2025
I went to the All Time Low concert—I mean mini-festival—earlier this month and it was phenomenal. They put together one of the best lineups Omaha has seen in years in my opinion. To put the cherry on top, they played my favorite venue in Nebraska, The Steelhouse. To start the night of course we checked out the merch. Although All Time Low’s was not my favorite merch, all of the openers had cool items for sale. The Paradox as a young new band had a shirt with their logo and “Pop Punk Isn’t Dead” on the back that I purchased and love. My sister got a super cool Mayday Parade t-shirt with an abstract flower design. And finally, The Cab had a really sweet t-shirt with an angel on it for their song “Angel With a Shotgun” that I asked to get for Christmas.
Following merch we watched The Paradox, one of my favorite new bands perform. They rocked! I absolutely love their pop punk style music and their stage presence was truly entertaining. They made the crowd laugh between songs and really performed their hearts out. This is a band to keep watching, especially after the release of their EP, NSFW. My only complaint was that they needed a longer set so that they could play their entire discography!
Next, The Cab performed a stellar setlist after several years away from touring! I remember listening to The Cab’s album, Symphony Soldier, in 2011 when it came out. I would belt out “Angel With a Shotgun” at the top of my lungs and sing along to “Bad” with my friends. Hearing these two songs live was so nostalgic! Although I didn’t know every song, I really enjoyed the band’s energy and lead singer Alexander DeLeon’s voice. I will definitely be listening to their newest EP, Road to Reign.
After The Cab, Mayday Parade took the stage. They have one of my favorite new songs of 2025 “By the Way” which made me smile hearing it live. This song live sounded even better than the recording! Lead singer, Derek Sanders, rocked long hair and bare feet (which is definitely a choice) during the set. His voice is so distinct and you almost can’t believe that some of the lyrics he screams are really coming from him. Many of the songs from this set also brought me back to high school which was so fun.
Finally, All Time Low took the stage and blew me away. This was the second time I saw them, the first being many years ago in Kansas City at the Power and Light District. I thought that performance was going to be hard to beat because the venue had been so different, but wow. Seeing them at The Steelhouse is now setting the bar. Their set design for this show was really cool. It carried through all of the openers through All Time Low. They had “Everyone’s Talking!” on the top left of the screen (pictured below) like a marquee and each band could use their own visuals in what looked like an old television screen. I took so many photos of the stage during this concert as the visuals for each band and for each song were so unique! My favorite was the anime-style lyrical video for “Hate This Song”.
All Time Low’s setlist is one of my favorites in a while. They struck an almost perfect balance between old and new songs ranging from their first album in 2007 “So Wrong, It’s Right” to 2025’s “Everyone’s Talking!” Their newest album also has several of my favorite new songs of the year which I loved hearing live including “The Weather” and “SUCKERPUNCH!” I knew the words to almost every song and danced my heart out (as much as I could with the limited space I had on the floor). This concert will definitely be in contention for my favorite of the year!
