A Day to Remember
October 31, 2025
I have always liked music by A Day to Remember, but after this concert they have skyrocketed to one of my favorites. Also, I have confirmed that Halloweekend concerts are in fact, the best concerts. A Day to Remember and their opener, Yellowcard, both fully embraced the holiday with themed Ghostbuster intros and costuming. We had a skeleton, Ghostbuster, minion, Freddie Mercury, and more! Although I do think a bigger crowd would have packed Pinnacle Bank Arena had it not been Halloween, each band still brought an insane amount of energy to their performances.
Starting with Yellowcard, I truly didn’t know how much they rocked. Of course I know their biggest hit, Ocean Avenue, and their newest title track Better Days (which is towards the top of my 2025 new releases list), but outside of that my knowledge of Yellowcard’s music was slim. After seeing them perform live, I know that was a huge mistake. They are an incredibly talented band that had me bobbing my head along with their songs all set long. Their lighting designer put on a fabulous show to go along with their music as well. I loved the wall of canned lights behind them (see photo below) that illuminated different colors to match the vibe of each song. The set was so visually appealing.
I really enjoyed the layering effect that the stage designer for both Yellowcard and ADTR created. The lifted drum set so you could always see the drummer (which I find very important for drum-heavy rockers), and the lifted strip at the front of the stage allowing for band members to stand above stage level and jump off (also see the Yellowcard photo below) really allowed us to see it all!
Now, on to ADTR, I was absolutely blown away with the band and how well they sounded live. The lead singer, Jeremy McKinnon, is so impressive going seamlessly from screaming to singing beautifully in every song. My favorite part of the whole night though was watching my husband sing along to every single song that was played. We go to a lot of concerts together and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this happen, especially as energetically! This concert definitely ranked in the top 5 for him (potentially even reaching No. 1).
To make matters even better—ADTRs merch was hands down the best concert merch we have ever come across. We each left with multiple pieces of merch, which never happens as it is always expensive. We started the night off at the merch stand and were initially disappointed as they said they were out of all sizes except small of the green floral sweatshirt pictured below. Between Yellowcard and ADTR, my husband encouraged me to go check again and thankfully they had restocked! Everyone in the entire arena seemed to be carrying one of these sweatshirts and I can confirm it is one of my new favorites.
