Mumford & Sons
October 26, 2025
We saw Mumford & Sons at the CHI Health Center in Omaha 24 hours after seeing The Wombats in Denver, Colorado to end our fabulous weekend! My husband and I had originally passed on this concert almost a year ago as Ticketmaster had limited ticket purchases to 4 per person, so we could not sit with my family. Fast forward to my youngest sister getting her college dance program rehearsal schedule, my family realized a week before the concert that she would unfortunately be unable to attend. That meant I was next in line to take the ticket and go in her place! I had attended a Mumford & Sons concert in college with my friends at this same venue. I remembered them sounding fantastic, but other than that nothing about the concert really stood out to me in my memories. Yet, this last minute concert for me turned into one of my favorite arena shows to date.
The stage setup was so incredibly cool for this show, which follows suit with many of the shows we’ve been to this year. They had a movable chandelier lighting concept (pictured below) that featured rings of stars, hearts, flowers and birds that they lit up at different times throughout the show. The rings moved throughout the performance as well, stacking in different shapes and lengths, which provided interest during their 20+ song setlist. They also had a secondary stage where they played acoustic songs, including one with their talented opener, Sierra Ferrell, who was decked out in a large ball gown for this part of the performance. They also had string lights over almost the entire ceiling in the arena, which I saw for the first time during the Kings of Leon concert in Nashville last year and fell in love with the concept. I imagine the artists themselves love the string lights during their sets to illuminate an otherwise dark crowd.
Mumford & Sons sounded amazing. They performed their new song, Rushmere, towards the beginning of their set and it literally almost brought me to tears! I think I smiled the entirety of the concert as it was just beautiful and their singing filled my heart with joy. For having low expectations going into the concert from the previously unmemorable performance, this turned out to be a perfect night! I also have to mention that they had several cool pieces of merch for sale. I would have bought some for myself, however, I knew this was a last minute concert attendance for me and that I had two more of my favorite artists coming up later this week!
