Linkin Park
August 29, 2025
I cannot stop thinking about this concert! Linkin Park played at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE on August 29, 2025. On the way to the concert I pulled up the band’s website to see what kind of merch they had available online. This usually helps me get ready for the difficult decision of to buy or not to buy that comes with seeing the at-concert merch. Then, I popped over to Instagram to see if the band had posted anything about exclusive merch. This seems to be a trend that many of the large stadium-touring bands are following—offering exclusive merchandise for each city. Linkin Park did in fact follow this trend offering Omaha specific merch, but much to my surprise they also offered order ahead merch! Although not all merch was available to order ahead, I ended up purchasing one of the concert t-shirts from my phone right before walking into the venue. As soon as the order was fulfilled, I got to head to a separate mobile order merch stand that had no line and provided a nice paper bag to carry the shirt in rather than having to hold it like usual. This was extremely efficient and allowed us to skip the long lines. Although I ordered just one t-shirt, I wanted to buy every single thing that they offered, their merch was that cool. (I may still order one of the football jerseys once my budget allows, just don’t tell my husband :))
After picking up my merch, we found our seats. Although stadium seating is never my favorite way to see a concert, our seats had a prime view. Located in the middle section of the lower bowl, we had the perfect angle to take in the center stage. The stage design from Linkin Park for this tour was unlike anything I’d seen before. Located in the middle of the floor, the band had a 360 degree stage allowing the crowd to view the band play from all angles. They even flipped the set up during the middle of the show to allow us to see all members front-facing. Above the stage featured two jumbotrons that showed the band, the lyrics, and other visuals throughout the show. The stage setup also featured an incredible light show that was again unlike anything I’ve seen. Waves of lasers fanned around the venue in time with the music which was truly mesmerizing. I took some of my favorite concert photographs of all time at this show that are featured below.
I did almost no preparation for this show, which is not usually my style. I usually listen to the entire setlist multiple times so I can be ready to sing along, but for this concert we had so much going on the past few weeks I wasn’t as prepped as I normally like. However, it honestly made it really fun as each song played was a surprise! This show easily made it into my top 10 shows of all time. Linkin Park honestly sounds even better live than they do on some of their recorded songs which is almost never the case. Although the new co-lead singer, Emily Armstrong, has been a controversial addition to the band after Chester Bennington’s death, I have to say that I am a huge fan. Her voice is incredible. She can hit the most beautiful high notes followed by a hard-rock screamo style of singing that is unmatched. Her range is unlike anything I’ve heard live before (following suit for this show). We sang along and honestly just stared in awe as the band performed all night long. The setlist, almost 30 songs long, had the band playing for almost two hours. I love when we get to hear our favorite bands play for that long as lately is seems shows have had more opener, less main band time. Overall, I can confidently say, this was one of the best shows I have ever been to!
